Creative In Common
Roadmap to an Effective Strategic Plan

May 19, 9 a.m. to noon
Minneapolis/Saint Paul

This workshop is ideal for staff and board leadership considering or about to embark on a strategic planning process. By the end of the workshop, you will understand how you can use your long range vision to forward your resource development effort.

Fundraising-Strategy Intensive: Increasing the Effectiveness of Your Individual Donor Campaign

As government and foundation dollars shrink, increasing the effectiveness of your individual donor campaign is of the highest priority. In today’s competitive environment, you need to establish a system that engages prospective donors with meaningful and compelling messages about the value your organization creates. This requires a carefully planned approach that executes a variety of activities. The purpose of this two-day Fundraising-Strategy Intensive is to provide you with concentrated time to work with Creation In Common’s team of experts on creating your campaign’s plan in advance of a fall launch.

More than a workshop, the intensive will help you…
  • Create campaign branding and messaging for use in solicitation letters, campaign materials, and one-on-one meetings.
  • Define realistic financial goals based on an assessment of your ability to identify, locate, and cultivate current and potential donors.
  • Identify specific leadership roles for volunteers and staff who will help sustain the effort.
  • Generate an initial prospect list as well as identify how you will continually generate new individuals to add.
  • Establish tasks and timeline for the first year of the campaign.

Creation In Common will share best practices and systems as well as provide tools and templates to assist you in assembling your plan. In order to allow for one-on-one time, the intensive will be led by three of Creation In Common’s partners and associates, each with extensive experience in individual donor cultivation.
